Sewing flute case covers
Dear Fluters,
Home sewers might be interested in a method of creating flute case covers that is very easy, colourful and fun.
Flute case cover design in pdf.
I don't quilt myself, and made mine just from nice sturdy fabric, but a quilter on the flute groups was looking for a pattern to use, in order to create for gift case covers for students.
NOTE: Since every flute case is a slightly different size and girth, I think it best to make a test-pattern from scrap cloth first to get the dimensions right for ease of sliding the flute in and out, and to make sure that the triangle that buttons or velcros is placed correctly.
Best,
Jen

The kids at our school have trouble finding there instruments in the chaos of the band room. A pretty case cover might be just the solution!
Another solution is the $5 packet of brightly coloured bandanas from any department store.
They can use a laundered bandana to swab the flute, and then tie it to the case handle to let the swab dry.
