Free Xmas Duets Burgundy Troika

 Dear Flutelovers,

Well I just love a good quality flute duet that's unusual-sounding, original, modal and/or an ancient Xmas Carol. You know the ones? They sound like Greensleeves, or Coventry Carol and suit the flute just perfectly! They're all parallel fourths and odd monk-like sounds; and then you add trills and tremelos to make it sound like you're playing an antique wooden fife or other mysterious instrument. Ahhh. Bliss. Ancient sounds. Yum.

I also love a good crazy Russian snow-whooshing sleigh ride.

So different, so exciting! So flutey, so piccolo-y! ;>)

To wit!! (video)

Do you share this thrill ride? Do you love a carol with that modal, antique fife and drum sound?

Well you're in luck!

Here's another great gift from my life's work as a flute teacher. I used to make these arrangements for my students to learn for Christmas musical flutey displays in our public library. I could never find the exact exotic carols I wanted, and I like the short and spicy length, so I arranged these as set-openers.

Here are two FREE duets for you in pdf: each is two pages. Perfect for students and all flute teachers to enjoy! Something fresh!

And if you need more Xmas flute music I also have delightful books of trios for sale here at my blog of course.

Enjoy these duets so much!

All best, Jen
