Plainsong performed by Robert Aitken

Dear Fluters,

I'll ask you all: How cool is this?
Robert Aitken performing "Plainsong (composed in 1977 by Robert Aitken)" live.
Have a look and listen.

I can't wait to find out whether he also recorded his work "Icycle" on film.
So fabulously cool to watch the composer perform his own effects!
Enjoy.
Best,
Jen

Jennifer, Thanks so much for finding this on YouTube and for posting it on your Blog. What a great performance of a really great piece that is never performed.

He sure is a Master! The way he controls his instrument is stunning to me. I really like it! Thanks.

This was not performed in 1977. The piece was written in 1977, but this performance was very recent. I saw Bob a few weeks ago and either he has not aged a jot in 30 some years or this was shot on his recent Hong Kong jaunt. Nice for folks to be able to see this though.
